This week's #SnapshotSaturday will be about our wonderful artist and instructor, Dawn Freeland.  

Dawn's handmade silk scarves are featured in our gallery, and she teaches students how to make their own scarves as well.  Watch our video on Youtube (above) filmed when we sat in on her "Painting on Silk" 3-day workshop.

It was the most inspiring three days we have experienced in a long time!  We learned so much in this short timeframe.  We would recommend this workshop for artists of all levels, from beginner to advanced.  It is a great weekend for trying something new, expanding your artistic knowledge, and creating fashionable art that you can wear to your next special outing!

Silk dye is a vibrant and versatile medium that acts a lot like watercolor!
