Ty Milner

 

Ty Milner is a portrait painter and an illustration artist. He specializes in portraiture, architectural illustration, and fine art. During his 17 years as an illustrator, he gained broad experience as a painter in multiple mediums such as oil, watercolor, gouache, pen and ink, and graphite. He is skilled in the classical realist approach to painting, especially in his portrayal of the human face and form.

He trained extensively for six years in oil painting and professional life drawing classes. Milner studied at the Dallas Art Institute from 1983 to 1984. From January 1986 to June 1990 he was employed at L.C. Art in Dallas, Texas. He was an illustrator that received training in architectural illustration for residential and commercial property, using pen and ink, watercolor, and gouache. From July 1990 to September 1991 he worked for Johanson and Associates as an illustrator. From 1991 to 1996, Milner was in a partnership, and was responsible for the sales, management, and art production of the company at the Art Studio in Dallas. In 1997 he became the sole proprietor. The company sells paintings, drawings, and portraits in various mediums. He has produced architectural illustrations for clients of residential and commercial property, primarily in Dallas County. 

The company also has worked with other national, as well as, international clients including: Centex Homes, Soverign Homes, Anderson Hanson, Panda Energy Int., Ikemire Architects, and Exxon Corp.

Milner is now concentrating his efforts on promoting his portrait painting, and they are available by commission through Southwest Gallery.
