Course Description
Students will be introduced to the works of the Masters, from Impressionism to Cubism and Modern Art. After learning about the techniques and styles of each, students will be inspired to create their own masterpieces using acrylics, pastels, watercolors and other mediums.
About the Instructor
Vonda Seeliger, an art educator in the public schools for 15 years, has experience teaching kindergarten through Art IV in High School. She now teaches Introduction to Art, Three-Dimensional Design, Drawing and Painting, and Ceramics to 7th and 8th grade students at Richardson North Junior High School.
Vonda has a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Photography from the University of Houston and studied Visual Arts Education at the University of Texas at Austin. In 1999 she received an All-Level Texas Art Teacher Certification. Currently, she is working on her Master’s Degree from Concordia University-Texas.
