Maria D'Azucena
Maria Teresa D’Azucena obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Education and successfully owned and ran a Preschool in her native country of EL Salvador. She moved to Miami in 1991 where she began her art training under the tutelage of several well-known artists. As a contemporary abstract artist, Maria Teresa uses a variety of materials to create mixed media paintings in a unique passionate style.
Her vibrant colorful work has been exhibited in various group, as well as solo shows, both Nationally and Internationally. Her work is been represented by Simons Gallery, Contemporary art group USA, Blink Art groups and prestigious Galleries in El Salvador, Panama,New York and Luxembourg. Her last exhibitions was at Spectrum art Fair during art Basel week, Artexpo New York 2016 Carrusel du Louvre in France, David J Guzman Museum in El Salvador, Saint Thomas University in Miami Gardens Fl. and many other private Prestigious Galleries around Miami art Districts. She also collaborated in exhibitions for Children Cancer Foundation. Maria Teresa 's work is been showing in internationally. Revelation, a paint from the Colors of hope collection, is part of the permanent FIU Honors College Art Collection.
Maria Teresa also teaches art to children and adults in her art studio and works as an Assistant Director at Contemporary Art Projects USA sales Department.
Maria believes that the fine arts are a powerful dimension of communication. It is a unique way to touch someone feelings and an extraordinary opportunity to express oneself and allow viewers to enjoy.
