Course Description:

In my workshops, I will be sharing with you my style and technique of painting with vivid, loose brushstrokes.  I will teach you how to keep your paintings looking fresh, vibrant and spontaneous, with emphasis on strong values.

In this 3-day workshop, we will be painting 2 (two) landscapes and 1 (one) floral.  The way I like to teach in my workshops is by starting a painting and then letting the students “catch up”, with plenty of individual instruction.  I feel like this helps the students not have that “lost” feeling after watching an instructor complete a 2-hour demo and say “ok, now it’s your turn”.  I will teach you how I change ordinary scenes into BOLD, full of energy with fresh, clean expressive brushstrokes, not being overworked.  I will share with you how I mix my colors, to get in and out, keeping your paintings looking spontaneous.  You can usually complete a painting during each daily session.

Students find that a friendly critique at the end of each session is very helpful.
